It’s almost the end of February and you maybe feel like you have missed out on the opportunity to waltz the night away this year. Well, it’s not too late as you can still experience the ball season’s highlight – the “Crystal Ball” on 5 March 2011.
Traditionally, the Bratislava ball season starts with the Opera Ball and lasts well into February, with many splendid balls to choose from and plenty of other opportunities for ballroom dance enthusiasts to dance the night away. However, this year the festive ball season will not come to an end until March, after the glamorous Crystal Ball at the new Slovak National Theatre building.
The main idea of the ball organisers is to put together the world of art and the renowned event named “Crystal Wing” – an award ceremony for the most successful personalities of the Slovak Republic.
The Slovak National Theatre in cooperation with the agency Agas want to realise their ambition to put the spotlight on top figures of Slovak societal life who have achieved considerable success, as well as to present the world of art while putting emphasis on humanitarian activities.
The ball promises great melodies and rhythms from famous opera stars, including Anna Netrebko, Ervin Schrott or José Cura, together with soloists of the Ballet and Opera at the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava, of course.
Tickets are now on sale and there are three price categories; Exclusive tickets (EUR 300), Luxury tickets (EUR 200) and Business ones (EUR 100).
So, why not dress up, give in to the music and let yourself be enchanted by the magic of the ball.
